CauseyNet Update 1/29/2018

posted Jan 29, 2018, 8:30 AM by Russell Kuck   [ updated May 1, 2018, 4:58 AM ]

CauseyNet now has two Verizon modems to double both bandwidth and usage. All uses have been increased the allotted usage to 666MB per day per subscription. Resets at midnight. Monthly cost of $25 a month is still. For standard for up to 7Mbps speed and 666Mb limit per day usage. Now by putting your phone (At&t, Spring, Any carrier) in WiFi assist mode you can use any cell phone now just as if you where down town. But only if you are a subscriber thru our WiFi access. So (2018 Summer/Fall) also at the Main Gate and Causey Look Out Point thru CauseyNet.

Verizon has finally made it into CauseyNet

As of June 18th 2014 it looks like after almost a year we have Verizon LTE data with 10Mbps Down and 1Mbps up. It seem to be a good reliable service. This service has been put into CauseyNet sort of. Still working on now getting it to a subscriber that wishes to use it. It well have a cost to it due to Verizon cost to us. This is a perfect data service with only 70~100ms latency. Meaning it work well for VoIP like Google Voice/Vonage/Skype/etc. etc. Unlike satellite service with 1000ms latency.

1000ms is equal to 1 second delay. This one second delay makes it hard for some to communicate. Delay is now not a problem at 100ms. This 100ms is equal to 1/10 of a second delay thru this new Verizon Service. So it's hardly noticeable. It's the same as a cell phone call is today.

Verizon Internet ONLY!!!!!

Working on getting Verizon into the system. This is for Verizon data (Only). Although the cost is very expensive, it has a very low latency. This low latency is what is needed to carry voice. To have little to no delay. This is what many at Causey are looking for. We have good Verizon signal. We are close to getting it into CauseyNet.
