About House Muntea

We are a Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) household residing in the Barony of Flaming Gryphon, part of the Middle Kingdom. Casa de la Muntea translates from Romanian to "House from the Mountains". Our name is based on one of our founders, Sir Boris Movila, whose last name means hill. Muntea was founded in 2012 by the original six members, Appolonia von Wurttemberg, Boris Movila, Emine bint Istani, Genevieve Perrin, Evhad bin Murad, and Richard le Fournier with a focus on Eastern personas and arts. Even with the Eastern focus, many of the members prefer a Western European persona and are welcomed within.

The members of Muntea are dedicated to meaningful group experiences in the SCA exploring melee combat, the arts and sciences, and much much more!
