Although I do consider myself quite fortunate to have never had to deal with the flashing neon pink objects from the Sims underworld, I have recently come to realize that Sims are not the only things that take on a mind of their own. As most of you know by now, I mostly build, design and decorate. As most of you also know, Sims have a strange way of getting themselves into situations that no one could rationally comprehend. For example, having an existential crisis after getting themselves locked into a bathroom....so they have a psychotic break, and end up talking to their happy cup, while screaming at the sink. 🤪
I've been designing a new Medieval neighborhood, named Kells, and I use the mod that allows neighborhood deco to be placed anywhere. Cool...until I start building a house, and suddenly there's 3 branches of an Oak tree, some grass and a small rock in the middle of what's supposed to be the front lawn. It's totally my fault for not paying attention to the placement. None the less, when this happens, my old-ass brain just thinks, "Well....ok. We're doing that now', as if it's nothing unusual at all. To be fair, I was born in the mid-1900s (gen X-er here), and I'm so used to stuff just happening, that almost nothing phases me anymore....including TS2. 🙄
As I'm building Kells, I've come to realize that I have quite a few recoloring projects ahead of me. This is for no other reason than the fact that I adore as many color options as possible, that are historically accurate. One thing I've realized is that many Medieval items for the game are rather muted. Even the primary colors are somewhat muted. One of the first shoppes I'm recoloring is the Fabric Shoppe, A Stitch In Time. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off. Time will tell. For now, however, I'm rebuilding this ridiculousness of a web site. 🤣
