Do I come to you or will you come to me?
The counselling sessions will take place at my counselling practice in Devonshire Avenue, Southsea, Portsmouth. In certain circumstances where a client may not be able to leave their home for what ever reason, I will work remotely by telephone or Zoom. Ideally it is always best to work face to face in the therapeutic room, but I recognise that this is not always possible for everyone.
How long will the session last and how long will I need to come?
Each session will last for one hour. ideally sessions will be on a weekly basis, particularly at the beginning. Usually by about the fourth session it becomes clear to both client and therapist whether the work will be short or long term. This will be discussed with you and you will ultimately make the decision to begin to bring the work to a close or to continue in more depth. As long term work progresses, it is not unusual for the sessions to be arranged fortnightly and even monthly towards completion of the work.
What will it cost me?
I have a standard fee of £55 (£60 for couples and £70 for families). My fee for supervising other therapists is £60 per hour.
