The bathrooms at my work are terrible. It doesn't help that they are "oversubscribed" as a colleague puts it. Basically they have at least twice as many people working in this building as it was originally designed for back in the 80's. More workers = more people needing to take a piss.
The bathrooms themselves are small but the people who use lack basic bathroom etiquette. For example - walk into the Men's room and find piss on the floor. For me, not that big of a deal. I wear shoes. And I have good aim, so it isn't me contributing to the problem.
But here's the big deal: in the bathroom on our floor they removed the automated flush sensor. Why take out the automated flush? Well they installed a more "environmentally friendly" lever - pull up if you piss and pull down if you dump. It is supposed to use the appropriate amount of water, but no one wants to touch the fucking handle! So I guess it worked and the people at here are the most environmentally friendly of all - they just don't flush. Or when they do, they'll use their foot to push the lever.
And then me who comes in to use the bathroom has to touch that handle, now covered with that piss from the floor plus whatever else was on the last guy's shoe!
If you haven't seen this before, Adam does an awesome job talking about etiquette in the bathroom - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILgKO2tMMWA
People working in my office, take note!
