Carol Gomes Katahdin White Dorper Hair Sheep in Oregon

As of 2026, we have been closed 19 years using ALL of our OWN genetics. NO new sheep or other animals have come in and we have had no diseases.  NO shots/NO wormers/NO meds in their lifetime.  We have a very concentrated dominant genetic gene pool with all healthy lambs  born in 2026 I am thrilled to say! They are gorgeous and carry all our good dominant characteristics. Our old breeding ewes and rams  retire here now  to PROVE best of health and longevity up to 16 yrs of age! PROVING BEST OF HEALTH, even into old age with NO DISEASES while never needing shots/wormers or meds in their lifetime.

 I have completed my research after 19 years closed with our Katahdin White Dorper cross, we are still  disease free, no shots, no wormers no meds in their lifetime. We have proven up to 16 yrs of age, we have a healthy herd with longevity in our lines as well as bettering our OWN BREED. We keep track of all our old ewes and rams now since they live their life out  here, we know their life span and health while it is all documented and PROVEN over 19 yrs being CLOSED and practicing a good biosecurity protocol.   

We have our own breed now after 19 yrs closed with a very dominant genetic pool.  So our sheep have become very valuable. I will strive to sell to past buyers and those that want to have a closed herd and practice our same manaagement.  July 28, 2026.
