I hold a PhD in Economics from Carlos III University. Currently, I am Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economic Analysis at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), an elected council member of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) and co-editor of Resource & Energy Economics.
I have been President of the Spanish Portuguese Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, AERNA (2022-2024), Director of the Master Program in Quantitative Economic Analysis (2023-2025), and Head of Department (2017-2019).
As an applied microeconomist interested in environmental issues, my research broadly focusses on incentives and information problems related to the design and implementation of environmental policies. I also work on the modelling of voluntary sustainable practices and collaborative consumption, as well as on lab experiments to analyze behavior towards climate change. More recently, I have started to work on circular economy issues, specifically on the economic and environmental consequences of second-hand markets in their various forms.
