Richard Thurman Dissertation Award
Colleagues and CAPSE/TED Members,
It gives me great pleasure to announce a call for nominations for the Richard Thurman Award. This award honors the memory of Dr. Richard Thurman, a talented special educator who shared his knowledge with many future teachers at Chapman University.
This award recognizes an outstanding recent recipient of the doctoral degree in Special Education or a related field. The recipient will receive a $500.00 award and will present a brief summary of the design and findings of their dissertation research at the October 22, 2015 CAPSE meeting.
If you would like to nominate a candidate, or if you completed your dissertation in 2014 or 2015, or are completing your dissertation and would like to nominate yourself, please complete the attached application and e-mail it to me at linda.smetana@csueastbay.edu by October 2.
Thank you for your participation,
Linda Smetana, Ed. D.
