The semester has begun, course syllabi are developed, but what about relevant course resources? Many faculty are familiar with modules and case studies from the IRIS Center, but additional resources are available.

Wrap-Around Concept Maps are diagrams designed to help faculty who want to extend and deepen the information included in the IRIS Center's modules and case studies. The Wrap-Around Concept Maps provide examples of supporting materials available on the IRIS website, such as activities and video vignettes, aligned to each module and case study. By using these Wrap-Around Concept Maps, instructors can more easily accomplish the task of broadening their own instruction, and hence their students' learning experiences.

For those who teach math methods, NCII has uploaded several video examples of how to teach math using manipulatives and visuals. Many other video resources are also available.

The mission of The National Center on Intensive Intervention is to build district and school capacity to support implementation of data-based individualization in reading, mathematics, and behavior for students with severe and persistent learning and/or behavioral needs.
