Here is my Intro...
Before my land cruiser I had a diverse upbringing of learning to wrench on a 1973 Triumph Spitfire 1500. My father a truck driver used to race an Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite and he was educated at Aviation HS. I inherited his passion for wrenching on things and he passed on lots of valuable information on to me :)
My friends all had muscle cars and I was the odd one. This however opened up learning on a very diverse range of cars and trucks for that matter. I went to a two year college for an associates in Automotive Technologies. During my HS years and into early college years I rebuilt and used the Triumph as my DD. I also worked at a few auto shops, one of which was a British car restoration business. The Triumph was also the beginings of 'canvas' as I knew it needed a twill top and seen everything else as inferior. That and running most days with a tonneau cover is what the car really need to 'just feel right'.
Flash foward many years... Inspectors license ... ASE certification ... And a bachelors degree in Technology Education. Instead of going into teaching I went into Graphic Arts and worked editing photos and color separation. I needed a new reliable ride. One which I would not get speeding tickets lol. I was driving a Heep Cherokee full size 2 door for just a few years and was only a few points away from my license being taken. This is the first time I also remember praying really hard and asking God to HELP. Well He presented me with the 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that I drive today. It truly is incapable of ever getting a speeding ticket. In the past 25+ years I have been driving it I have yet to get a ticket ... Infact I got pulled over once for driving too slow :) (than you God)
