Math:
We are practicing using GCF and LCM to solve real world problems this week. Students will also be reviewing for an upcoming GCF/LCM quiz.
Science:
Students will complete stations on the difference between rotation and revolution. Then, they will complete an activity to understand what causes the Earth to revolve around the Sun, and not the other way around.
Math:
Students have been reviewing their knowledge on factors and multiples and prime and composite numbers. We will apply this to finding the prime factorization of numbers. Prime factorization will be a helpful tool for finding the GCF and LCM of a set of numbers.
Science:
Students are finishing their first STEM challenge of the year! They have been building catapults to launch a candy pumpkin for our Pumpkin Chunkin competition. After the finals on Monday, we will begin our Astronomy unit by learning about the size of the universe.
