Kirby Klash!! Official rulebook:
- Battles consist of 12 Turns, and each player must strategically place a command to Attack, Block, or Counter the opponent on each turn before the battle begins. Once in battle, both players will fight or defend accordingly to the turn a command was issued.
- Your opponent will be determined before the battle begins. Study your opponent's ability and use it to your advantage!
-Each player has 3 Hearts.
- Each player can Attack 5 Times.
- Each Attack landed successfully deals 1 Heart of damage.
- Each player can Block 2 Times, which reduces an opponent's attack damage to Half a Heart.
-Each player can Counter 1 Time. *Note: A successful counter is one where the opponent attempts to attack the user, and will deal the damage the opponent would have dealt the user, and the user will face no damage. However, if the opponent did not plan an attack, the user will face a recovery period, and the user will not be able to use any command the next Turn.
- If two players Attack on the same turn, both will result unsuccessful.
- If the 12 Turns end and neither player has been knocked out, Sudden Death will commence, and each player will have a 50% chance of striking a K.O. Attack.
- Every different-colored Kirby has a different ability! Select a colored Kirby and begin to battle! *Note: Once you select a colored Kirby, you can change it for another, but you will have to start over at Level 1.
~ Red -- Fighter -- Allows the use of a 6th Attack.
~ Blue -- Hi-Jump -- If the player uses a counter unsuccessfully, the player will be invincible the next turn during their recovery period.
~ Brown -- Stone -- Block protects the user from all damage.
~ Green -- Plasma -- A Block or Counter that shields against an opponent's attack will deal an added Half a Heart of damage to the opponent.
~ White -- Mirror -- A successful Counter against your opponent deals two hearts.
~ Orange -- Fire -- Attacks will still land against an opponent's Counter.
~ Yellow -- Beam -- If both the player and opponent do not use a command on the same turn, the opponent will be dealt 1 Heart of damage. This does not apply if the player fell after a failed counter.
~ Purple -- Ninja -- If the player and opponent Attack at the same time, the player will strike regardless, dealing Half a Heart of Damage.
- Reaching certain Levels unlocks new Rewards! *Note: The EXP needed to gain a level is equal to your current level. The EXP gained from winning a battle is equal to your opponent's level.
~ Level 3: Original Kirby -- Begins the battle with the primary ability of the opponent. Good for fair and equal battles!
~ Level 6: Metallic Kirby -- Allows the use of a 3rd and 4th Block. Good for defense!
~ Level 10: Shadow Kirby -- An Attack against an opponent deals 1.5 Hearts, but an Attack against the player deals 1.5 Hearts, also (does not apply to Blocks and Counters). Also receive a second Counter. Good for taking risks!
~ Level 15: Gain a secondary Ability! The second ability will be determined for you, and can only be of the eight original abilities.
~ Level 20: Rainbow Kirby -- Choose your primary ability before the battle begins (must be one of the eight starter colored Kirbys). Congrats on making it to the top!
Battle Modes:
~ Standard Battle: One-on-one, both players will be informed of their opponent before the battle begins, and the two will face off.
~ Free-for-All: Battle consists of three players, and players must decide whether to use an Attack on one opponent or the other (the same goes for Blocks and Counters). Each player has the option to use a Double Attack, which deals Half a Heart of Damage to both opponents in one turn. EXP gained from winning a battle is equal to the combined sum of both opponents.
~ Surprise Battle: Players will not be aware of their opponent before the battle begins! (Original Kirby will be given extra commands automatically according to the opponent's ability).
~ Team Battle: A team of two players face off against another team of two opponents, and each player must decide whether to use an Attack on one opponent or the other (the same goes for Blocks and Counters). Each player has the option to use a Double Attack, which deals Half a Heart of Damage to both opponents in one turn. EXP is divided between the two victors.
