Welcome to C1!

Congratulations for getting this far! You have made quite an accomplishment in learning a foreign language. Nonetheless, there is still some room for improvement. As a matter of fact, since perfection does not exist, we can always strive to "make ourselves better!"

Look at the image of Cultus Lake. This view has remained practically the same since I was a child. However, look more closely, it isn't perfect, is it? It is a beautiful picture, but it can be improved.

What would you do to make it better?

Getting back to our C1, according to the European Framework, a C1 level means that the person is capable of "Effective Operational Proficiency". In other words, the person has a good access to a broad range of language, which allows fluent, spontaneous communication.

Check out the descriptors, then have a look at our syllabus. Our syllabus is based on the European Framework which means that "theoretically" you will be achieving a level equivalent to other people in the rest of Europe.

Check out the chart:
Our syllabus is more detailed and it includes a fully comprehensive assessment description next to each skill.
This is an important document because it contains what will be expected of you at the end of the school year. We will read through parts of it in class.
