BEREAVEMENT

Neetu Malik

(Winter, 2018)

Grief winds its weary way

through stages we all know

each step tied to pain

our spirit sinks deep and low.

Hurry it not, just let it be,

hold those memories,

let them speak--

sorrow’s words must

flow in tears

until one day

you can set them free.
