Thank you for viewing my portfolio.
A longtime communications professional, editor, and content creator, I served as Director of Alumni Communications at Harvard Business School from 2009-2023. This position drew upon my diverse background in print and online media and nonprofit marketing/communications with the goal of building connections and community between the school and its alumni worldwide. I'm proud of the work my team accomplished - ranging from a quarterly magazine, weekly enewsletter, various websites, social media, and events promotion to reunions and conferences marketing - which was recognized with a Webby Award, a W3 Award, a Hatch Award, and multiple honors from CASE.
My print-media career included the Boston Herald, Boston Magazine, Lowell Sun, Teenage Magazine, NewReview, and the magazines and journals of the Massachusetts Bar Association. I also served as a senior editor for custom publishing firms CCI Crosby and King Fish Media. On the Web, I launched BostonHerald.com and SmallBizResource.com, and won awards for the redesign of MassBar.org.
In the area of marketing, I developed innovative products and campaigns for nonprofit organizations (Massachusetts Bar Association, National Cable & Telecommunications Association) and for-profit corporations (Discovery Channel) that built audiences and members, galvanized communities of interest, promoted brand awareness and messaging, increased market share, and fostered crucial public-policy change.
My interests are many and varied, including education, cause media, 50+ lifestyle issues, small-business growth, and arts & culture concerns. Feel free to browse my resume and samples of past work on the other pages of this site. I remain open to opportunities to consult, collaborate, and guide organizations and projects of interest.
