DUTIES FOR STARTERS & CAPTAINS

STARTERS

• Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time to begin as starter
• First starter for each tee will pick up a copy of the day’s schedule on a clipboard from the Pro Shop counter
• Pay your green fees prior to going to the tee box for starter duties
• At the tee, check off player’s name, noting on the schedule any missing player(s).
• Keep foursomes teeing off as close to their scheduled tee times as possible
• Starters will be responsible for collecting monies from players that wish to participate in the weekly “closest to the pin” contest.
• When ready to play, the last starter on each side will give the money, clipboard and the schedule sheet to a person from the course. If the course person does not come, then keep these items with you and bring them to the scoring table after completing your play.

TEAM CAPTAINS

First man listed in the foursome is designated as Captain. He is responsible for:

• Contacting (prior to Wednesday) other members of the foursome by telephone and making all cart arrangements
• Assuring all members of the foursome have paid the greens fee prior to start of play.
• Knowing, interpreting and ensuring adherence to the Rules.
  • Turning in CORRECT SCORE CARDS signed and attested as per Rule 2 of the Association rules.
  • Contacting his team players when play is cancelled.
