The Booster Club is committed to supporting and uplifting our softball athletes by fostering their development and building a strong sense of community. Through fundraising and responsible allocation of resources, we help cover the costs of programs and activities not funded by the Burnsville School District. Our goal is to provide a high-quality experience that promotes the overall growth and success of our student-athletes.
As parents of softball players, you are automatically part of the Booster Club. There are many ways to get involved, including:
Attending games
Volunteering at events and fundraisers
Taking and sharing photos
Participating in Booster Club meetings
Serving on the Booster Club board
The Booster Club encourages all parents to contribute in some way—big or small—to help create a supportive and successful experience for our athletes.
What the Booster Club Does Not Do:
The Booster Club plays a vital role in supporting our softball program, but it does not participate in team selection, coaching decisions, or game strategies. All on-field decisions, including playing time and team placement, are the sole responsibility of the coaching staff.
If a parent or booster has a concern to discuss with a coach, it should be addressed respectfully and at an appropriate time—never immediately after a game or during an event. A 24-hour waiting period is strongly recommended. If the concern involves a lower-level coach, please schedule a meeting with the head coach, also present.
It’s important to remember that the welfare and education of student-athletes are the responsibility of district employees. Since boosters are not district employees, final accountability for all aspects of the athletic program rests with school-appointed coaches and officials.
Program priorities—whether related to equipment, uniforms, or other needs—should be established by the coaching staff and approved by the athletic director and principal before being shared with the Booster Club. All donations of time, money, or items must comply with district, state, CIF-SS, and student body regulations.
Booster-hosted events such as banquets and social gatherings, while not officially school-sponsored, should reflect the values we promote for our student-athletes.
We strongly encourage all parents to get involved in the Booster Club. Your support helps create a positive and enriching environment for our athletes, both on and off the field.
