As was discussed at the AGM Joey has organised some dates for members to re6th.ceive some training on the club's defibrulator . These sessions will take place on Wed 8th and 15th of April at St John's Ambulance Centre at 7.30pm. This is situated beside the Victoria BC and free parking is available behind County Hall in the evening. A list will be placed in the clubhouse for members to show which date suits them. It is important that as many people as possible take advantage of this opportunity.

19/01/26 The 2026 AGM has been scheduled for Wednesday February 18th at Burneside Cricket Club starting at 7.30pm. The agenda will be circulated asap.
17/11/25 The green is now closed and will not be cut before April 2026. There are no facilities in the clubhouse. Details about the opening of the green for 2026 will be discussed at the AGM.
1/10/25 Thanks to those who represented the club in the Kendal & District League Division Championships last weekend. Special mention to Tony Sleegers for reaching the Division 5 final at Netherfield. Well done to Mike Benson and Annette Ashmore who reached the quarter-finals in their competition

It has come to the attention of the Chairman that there has been some concern within the club regarding some decisions made at Committee level. If any member has any issue with matters relating to the running of the club they should send them in the form of an email to the Club Secretary to be included on the agenda at the next scheduled Committee meeting. Can I ask members not to approach individual Committee members with wishes or grievances but to put them to the Secretary to be discussed at a Committee meeting.
Burneside Parish Council have kindly agreed to donate a grant of £2000 towards the building of the Spectator Pavilion. We thank them very much for their generosity
The club has been informed of grants that are available from the Burneside Energy Conservation Group. This was discussed at the above Committee meeting and it was decided that we should look into applying for grants for the following: Electrical upgrades, roof insulation, disabled access to the clubhouse and toilets, installation of water butts and the upgrade/replacement of the kitchen. The purchase of a defibrillator was also discussed but there was some uncertainty whether this comes under this group's remit.
