Research

Personally, I envision the distributed space systems and satellite networks as some of the key issues for the future of space utilization. In this manner, my PhD reasearch focuses on the mission design, analysis and autonomous orbit control of distributed space systems and satellite networks.

However, my interests mainly include :

- Space Systems Engineering (Space Mission Design and Analysis, Development of Small Satellites, Multidisciplinary System Design Optimization, Complex Space Systems)

- Distributed Space Systems (Distributed Mission Design, Satellite Networks, System of Systems)

- Orbital Mechanics (Numerical and Analytic Methods, Cluster/Formation Flying)

- Modeling, Estimation, Control, Analysis and Simulation of Spaceflight

- Artificial Intelligence (Search Methods, Decision Making, Onboard Planning and Autonomy)

Besides, I have been also involved in research and studies in several other topics such as Space Situational Awareness, Remote Sensing and Space Policy.
