What are the three most critical attributes for shooting high scores and why?
1) Practice- I have no confidence if I haven't been practicing
2) Match quality equipment
3) Must enjoy competition!
What is the one thing you struggle with the most? Confidence
What training exercise do you feel is the most productive? Rapid fire centerfire as well as 50yd slow fire.
What "gizmo" (blinders, polarizing filter for scope, shield for weak eye, etc.) do you feel
is the most helpful to you? Don't use anything you mentioned.
What are the 3 most common problems you observe with new shooters?
1) Anticipating the shot
2) Doing what someone else is doing because because they are Brian Zins or somebody even though it is not appropriate for YOU.
3) Asking me "What's the trick" (Not squeezing the trigger-see #1)
What part of your shooting routine do you feel is unique to you?
Often do not scope shots.
What was the one "thing" that helped to propel you into the Master class?
Stopped shooting a Model 52!
