Sober Grad Night
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School
Class of 2015
June 5th, 2015 10 pm to 5 am Theme: "Twisted Fairy Tales"
We had a great night at the McBride Senior Center in Vacaville. This year, the BCMHS Sober Grad Night event hosted 76 grads. Everyone received a prize and a night of food, fun, games and entertainment. Our grand prizes included an Ipad mini, a Go Pro camera, a TV, a tablet, mini refrigerators, Beats Headphones and Coach purses. Professor Paranormal performed and DJ Marlowe Bucaojit lit up the Knightclub! Two lucky winners walked away with cash from our Left, Right, Center game and 10 lucky winners won cash in the Cash Cube. Keeping with our theme, we even had a giant, blow up Twister game! We also had a photo booth, a caricature artist, a henna tattoo artist and an airbrush artist. For gaming entertainment, we had roulette, a Texas Hold 'em table and two black jack tables, hosted for a bit by Mrs. V and Mr. Price. The grads could also play Ping-Pong and our mini basketball hoops game.
The Buckingham Parents Grad Night Committee would like to sincerely thank our group of dedicated volunteers who spent many months helping us organize and plan this event. From attending meetings, collecting donations, selling tickets and assisting with fundraisers, some while working full time jobs. Thank you to everyone who helped us exceed our fundraising goals and supported our dine-outs, Scrapbooking and CA clothing drive fundraisers. For those volunteers that took time out of their busy life to help make this event run so smoothly, you have our sincere appreciation. We could not have done this without all your hard work! Awesome job! We also want to express our gratitude to our generous local businesses that helped sponsor this event and truly this event would have been impossible to accomplish without the support of the entire community.
Thank you to all the Community Partners and Volunteers who made special contributions in celebration of Buckingham Charter Magnet High School Graduating Class of 2015! Congratulations to the Class of 2015!

Safe & Sober Grad Night
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School
Class of 2012
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School’s (BCMHS) Graduating Class of 2012 celebrated their Safe & Sober Grad Night on June 8th, and we are delighted to say this was another successful celebration. This once in a lifetime party that was formed in 2008 by a few devoted parents, offers all graduating seniors a safe, sober, and fun memorable celebration of their high school accomplishments. The event was held at the Three Oaks Community Center in Vacaville in the large Assembly Hall that was elaborately transformed into a Hollywood style theme (stars, movie posters and red carpet) with 56 graduates choosing to attend. Graduates spent the night socializing with all their friends and enjoying Jeopardy, casino games, dancing, Velcro wall, pool table, ping-pong, henna tattoo artist and caricature artist. We all never laughed so hard, nor, will ever forget, Linda Sparks’s hilarious hypnotist show. For the grand prize drawing held at the end of the night, each graduate had an opportunity to win some amazing prizes: Kindle Fires, Keurigs, Flatscreen TV, Netbook, PS3, Digital Camera, GPS system, Ipod, Mini Refrigerators, Gift Cards to local merchants, cash prizes and much more! Everyone went home with a prize. What a fabulous time we all had and a night they will never forget!

MARDI GRAS GRAD NIGHT BASH
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School
Class of 2011
Safe & Sober Grad Night 2011 was a Huge Success! On June 8th , Buckingham Charter Magnet High School (BCMHS) celebrated their 4th Safe & Sober Grad Night for the Graduating Class of 2011. It was an exciting night and a huge success! The event was held at the beautiful Harbison Event Center at Nut Tree Family Park in Vacaville with 65 graduates attending. This year’s theme was “Mardi Gras Bash”. The students wore colorful beads and partied it up all together as a class, possibly for the very last time. The highlight of the night was our favorite hypnotist, Linda Sparks, who put on an awesome show, and one that the graduates will be talking about for weeks to come. There were a variety of fun games and activities to keep the graduates on the go: black jack, roulette, baby photos game, LCR dice game, where two people split the winnings and trendy henna tattoo artist and the ever popular rock band video game on a large outdoor movie screen. Other outdoor activities were ping-pong, pool table and large inflatable obstacle course. Volunteer Photographer, Michael Elm, took pictures of friends and classmates together in such an amazing setting. Grads didn’t mind standing in line to pose for the talented cartoon caricature artist sketches as well as treasured the drawing as a great keepsake. We all had a total blast! Last but not least, around 4am grads participated in a grand prize drawing where each person had an opportunity to win some top prizes: Flatscreen TV, Netbooks, PS3, Kindle, Digital Cameras, GPS system, Ipods, Mini Refrigerators, Gift Cards to local merchants, cash prizes and much much more! Everyone went home with at least one prize worth $50. What a special night and a wonderful way for the seniors to be able to celebrate their accomplishments while remaining safe and sober. The event keeps getting better and better every year and one that will go on for years to come.
The Buckingham Parents Group wants to express our deep appreciation to our generous local businesses that helped sponsor this event and recognize the hard work of our group of dedicated volunteers. We thank the volunteers for the outstanding job they all did in putting on an event of this scale and spending countless hours attending meetings, planning, chaperoning, set-up and clean-up of the event and their unbelievable fundraising efforts. For those that so freely gave up so much of their time and went above and beyond, you have our sincere thanks. An extra special thank you to Photographer Michael Elm, for volunteering your time, talent, and equipment at the very last minute. Also, big thanks go out to the Nut Tree Family Park staff for sponsoring us this year and we are very grateful for your assistance. This event would have been impossible to accomplish without everyone’s special contributions and the students truly had a magnificent time and an evening they will never forget!
Thank you to all the Community Partners and Volunteers who made special contributions in celebration of Buckingham Charter Magnet High School Graduating Class of 2011! We want to acknowledge these amazing businesses and volunteers who made Grad Night and the Senior Gift Bags possible. For all those involved you have our heartfelt Thanks!

Sober Grad Knight
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School
Class of 2010
The Buckingham Parents Group wants to express our heartfelt thanks to all the students, teachers and individuals that contributed to this event. Thank you also to all the parents and friends for the countless volunteer hours it took to put on an event of this magnitude in the months of planning, fundraising, chaperoning, set-up and clean-up of the event. It was a true team effort.
Sober Grad Knight 2010
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School (BCMHS) celebrated their third annual Sober Grad Knight for the Graduating Class of 2010, held this year at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Vacaville in the Grand Ballroom. Grad Knight is a wonderful new tradition at Buckingham, one that will continue for years to come, and is a great way for the seniors to be able to end their year. The students have enjoyed the night because of all of the surprises and activities that are there for them. The event was held the day of graduation, June 11 2010, and this year the grad night theme was “Carnival”. The party began at 10pm and of the 102 eligible graduating seniors there were 58 Buckingham seniors that attended the all-night party to celebrate with their friends and classmates perhaps for the last time. Hypnotist, Linda Sparks a local Vacaville resident joined us again this year to put on another hilarious stage show that had the audience laughing as they watched friends do things they’ve never seen them do before as an entertaining hypnotist mesmerized them. Opening for her was Tim West who did an incredible light show. Through out the night everyone listened to music from DJAJ, Anthony Lewis and students enjoyed showing off their dance moves on the dance floor to great songs. Favorite baby photos were on display so students could guess who was who, which was fun as it allowed them to look back on how far they have come. A photo booth was set up to snap fun pictures of the graduates with their friends. Inflatable games were a huge hit in the outside parking lot adjacent to the ballroom where students enjoyed the Jumpy House, Joisting Dome competition and various carnival games. Students were able to choose from a range of table and video games to play throughout the evening. Also returning was the Jeopardy game show, assisted by game show host Bill Cerrito. He challenged the graduates to a variety of questions, they played three rounds divided into teams of girls and guys with a final Jeopardy round, where one student walked away a winner with a cash prize of $100. Later, all students were invited to play LCR dice game where one student won the cash pot of $180. Graduates that stayed until 4am were rewarded with a prize drawing where everyone went home with at least one prize package worth $50. The top prizes included: two Flatscreen TV’s, three Laptops, PS3 bundle, Kindle, two Digital Cameras, GPS system, an IPod Touch, a mini refrigerator and cash prizes. By 5am all students said their goodbyes for some much needed rest following an unforgettable night.
Thank You again to all contributors and volunteers for your support in our efforts to make this a safe & sober celebration for our graduates! Best of luck to all the graduating class of 2010!

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL THE GRADUATING SENIORS - CLASS OF 2009!!
Sober Grad Night 2009 was held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Fairfield. The party began at 10pm and there were 45 Buckingham seniors that attended the party. The entertainment included Linda Sparks, Hypnotist, returning again (she performed at last year's Sober Grad Night), who put on a hilarious show with volunteers from the audience. Opening for her was Tim West who did an incredible light show. Everyone enjoyed dinner, midnight snacks and breakfast before they left the party. Prizes were awarded at 4am, and everyone went home with at least one prize package worth $50. Some of the students played Jeopardy, and those participants also won prizes. Two Rock Band systems and another game system was set up the entire evening. Additional game tables included poker and checkers. Some of the prizes given away included a Nintendo DS, two Acer Netbooks, gift baskets, restaurant certificates, a Wii bundle, restaurant and store gift cards.
A huge thank you to all the parents that worked all year to make this event happen, to the parents that helped set up, chaperone and clean up after the event. And without the generous support of all the donations from local businesses and individuals, we could not have done this. Thank you from all of us.

First Annual Sober Grad Night
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School
Class of 2008
SUCCESS!!
The Buckingham Parent Group sponsored the first ever Sober Grad Night for graduating Buckingham seniors. The event was held June 6th 2008 at the Vacaville Pontiac GMC dealership on Orange Drive in Vacaville.
Thirty-seven seniors attended the party, which ran from 10:00pm to 5:00am Saturday morning.
Class of 2008 - Sober Grad Night
The first ever Sober Grad Night for Buckingham Charter Magnet High School (BCMHS) seniors was held this year. Some BCMHS parents decided in April to put together a special evening for their seniors, many of whom attended all four years at Buckingham. With the incredible generosity of local businesses and individuals, enough money and donations were collected to provide an evening of entertainment, music, food and prizes for the seniors. The evening started at 10:00 pm at the Vacaville Pontiac GMC dealership on Orange Drive, courtesy of Eleanor Felbaum. When the students arrived there was a giant outdoor screen on which the students could play Rock Band. Inside there was a DJ and dance floor, tons of food, casino tables where students could play blackjack and Texas Hold’em, and a walk around magician doing close-up magic tricks. Linda Sparks - a local Vacaville resident - entertained everyone with her hypnotist show. It was hysterical, and the kids loved it! All the students were invited to play a game of LCR and one winner, Clay Keaster, walked away with the prize – almost $100!! There was also a Jeopardy–type game that several of the students played for gift certificates. Prizes were awarded to every guest that attended and stayed for the entire event, and breakfast was served at 5:00 am, after which it didn’t take long for the seniors to scatter home and get some much-deserved sleep.
The Buckingham Parents Group wants to express our gratitude to all the businesses and individuals that contributed to this event. Without you, it would have been impossible to accomplish. The students had an evening they will never forget, and your contribution was greatly appreciated by all. Thank you also to all the parents and friends that contributed their time to the fundraising, chaperoning, set-up and clean-up of the event. It was a true team effort. Thank you!
