In the context of college composition, a multimodal assignment is defined as an argument that uses a combination of “modes” (visual, textual, audible, etc.) to convey a claim. This task will, therefore, require that you develop a project that expresses an argument through a combination of mediums: it cannot be simply text-based. In addition to the project itself, your group's grade will be determined by a 2-3 page write-up (identifying how you constructed your rhetorical appeals and why—according to your research—these appeals will be effective), a 5-10 minute presentation of your project, as well as an accompanying group reflection memo, which will be your opportunity to reflect on your own and your group members’ performances. The multimodal project and write-up will be published on the student’s Google Site.
