Announcements: May 13

Post date: May 13, 2019 10:40:31 AM

We have 581 flats of flowers due to arrive at FHPC TOMORROW (May 14) at 3 PM and need HELP unloading and sorting them. Please sign-up if you're able to help: http://troop90.pleasebringit.com/public/cwqgiJ+o$UU

Our first Buck Night of the year will be Tuesday, May 21 from 6-7:30 PM. It's important that every family sign up for at least ONE item: http://troop90.pleasebringit.com/public/xYjj6XWEJcM. If you're not familiar with Buck Night, the Troop sells a hot dog, bag of chips and drink for $1. The families donate the items we sell. Please join us and invite your friends and neighbors for a cheap dinner!

Our sponsoring organization (FHPC) is holding a workday on Saturday, May 18 from 8AM-12:30PM. They need help from the Scouts including cleaning the basement, clearing leaves and debris from the property, painting railings, etc. Again please consider volunteering some of your time on Saturday to help FHPC with their needs. We are VERY fortunate to have such a great sponsoring organization so let's show our appreciation!

Memorial Day is almost here and the Scouts of Troop 90 have been asked to participate in the annual Memorial Day service at the Borough Building on Monday, May 27. We need to help set-up chairs so please arrive at 10 AM in your Class A uniform. The service starts at 11 AM. We will participate in the flag raising ceremony. Lunch follows.

Summer Camp Reminders

    • All Scouts AND adults going to summer camp MUST submit their BSA Health and Medical Form (Parts A-B-C) to Mr. Bill Seeman by June 25 at the very latest. Remember that Part C requires a physical examination by your doctor.
    • You need to submit the LHC Supplemental Medical Form by June 25 for both Scouts and adults.
    • Adults (including leaders) also need to submit a copy of your BSA Youth Protection certificate, plus copies of your three PA Clearance documents by June 25.
    • A copy of your insurance card (front and back) must also be submitted by June 25.
    • Scouts who signed up for Emergency Preparedness must have completed First Aid before summer camp so please contact Mr. Costello ASAP to let him know (emtp772@aol.com).
    • Many of the merit badges require the completion of prerequisites so please be sure you are aware of what they are and complete them.

The next backpacking trip will be June 8-9 at Oil Creek State Park. The permission slip is online and due May 28. It will be a rigorous hike!

Personal note...I will not be at the next two Troop meetings so please email me if you need an announcement to go out.
