About Troop 1115

Welcome to Troop 1115 in Springfield, VA. Boy Scouts is for boys who are 11 years old, or are at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, through 17 years old. Boys experience a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster to achieve the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Camping, fun with friends -- and more. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Boy Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

We strive to be a boy led Troop. What does that mean? As adult leaders, we help to train our youth leaders to enable them to truly lead the Troop.  Our boys plan, prepare, and execute all Troop events, from regular patrol and troop meetings to weekend camp outs.

The roles of Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster is to mentor and assist the youth leadership in the preparation and execution of the Boy Scout program.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Troop 1115 is chartered by First Baptist Church (FBCS) of Springfield, VA. FBCS's mission is to be known throughout our community for our devotion to Jesus Christ and our commitment to share His love with all people.

Meetings are most Monday nights from September to June at 7:30pm at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
