Intro to Day Camp
You are welcome and encouraged to participate individually. We will be signing up as a Pack
This is a great alternative (or addition to) to Resident Camp. You drop the boys off each day, pick them up each afternoon.
Cubs are formed into "dens" of 15 scouts. There is a 5-day volunteer that acts as the Den Leader with two 1-day volunteers helping out. The Den goes to an opening ceremony, 3 sessions at different stations in the morning, back to their den area for lunch, 4 sessions in the afternoon, then a closing ceremony to end each day
Each den will go to 15 different stations for 35 different activities throughout the week (some stations are repeated with a different activity each time).
General Information about this Camp
Over 20 activities offered and most go toward Rank Advancement and Beltloop requirements.
Archery, BB gun shooting, Craftsman, Field Games, Fishing, Geology, Geo-caching, Showman, Citizen, Emergency Preparedness, Egg drop contest, 50ft Water Slide, Scout Skills, Science rocket launch, Wood-burning, Whittling, Fire Trucks, Campfire, Family Day, Tiger Day, and Webelos II overnight with a Boy Scout Troop.
There's a lot to do with 700 Cub Scouts. This is one of the largest Cub Scout Day Camps on the East Coast (maybe the country).
