Scholarships

The Broward County Council of PTAs/PTSAs (BCCPTA/PTSA) awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors in Broward County public schools. 

The BCCPTA/PTSA Barbara Walker General Scholarship, named in memory of a county council past president and child advocate who was committed to our scholarship program is now available. For 2017-2018, we will be awarding at least one $1000 scholarship. Applicants must have an unweighted GPA, of 3.0 or higher for University 2.5 or higher for College, or 2.0 or higher for Technical or Vocational School and be a member of a local unit PTA/PTSA or Sunshine State PTSA in good standing. Students enrolling in an accredited institution of higher education during the school year following high school graduation are eligible. 

The BCCPTA/PTSA Education Scholarship (will be awarded based upon future donations). This scholarship supports students enrolling to study education or a related field. Applicants must have an unweighted GPA, of 3.0 or higher for University 2.5 or higher for College, or 2.0 or higher for Technical or Vocational School and be a member of a local unit PTA/PTSA or Sunshine State PTSA in good standing.

Additional scholarships may be established based on request and the receipt of donations. Since the Broward County Council of PTAs/PTSAs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions may be tax deductible. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
