To find a Brittany, first find a responsible breeder who plans litters with the aim of producing pups to the standard. Responsible breeders know the health, temperament and structure, including any faults, of the dogs they breed and generations before them. Their dogs have been proven and are of the type to make a positive contribution to the Brittany breed. Dogs with genetic disorders such as hip or elbow dysplasia, eye disease or epilepsy should not be bred and pups should be guaranteed against genetic defects. Ask the questions before purchasing your Brittany puppy!

Canadian Brittany Breeders

(This is a list of Brittany breeders and stud dog owners, not an endorsement. Please do the research.)

In order to be listed on the Breeders Directory, a breeder must be a Regular Member in good standing of the Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada . The breeder must also agree to the following conditions:

All breeding stock must be certified clear of hip dysplasia by OFA or PennHIP. If the breeder is a Canadian resident, breeding stock and puppies must be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. If the breeder is not a Canadian resident, breeding stock and puppies must be registered in a stud book recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club.
