Whirlpool Whispure AP51030
Whirlpool Whispure AP51030KB purifier has many of the same features as the previous model, including True HEPA filtration, a fan with 5-speed settings, and a variety of operating modes.
But it has a few differences, too. The controls use touch keys rather than knobs, which we found a little easier to use. We were also impressed with its air quality testing feature, which shows how many dust, smoke, and allergen particles are in a typical room, and the best cleaning mode.
The purifier comes with a remote control, which we found helpful, and it comes with a filter gauge, which we found a little confusing.
This purifier is quieter than the GE PuriCare we rated first, and we preferred its touch controls. The only drawback is the purifier's slightly smaller coverage area, which limits its effectiveness in rooms larger than 300 square feet.
