EDUCATION
I obtained the PhD in Physics at Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa in 2009, working with my advisors Riccardo Barbieri and Slava Rychkov. I did my undergrade studies in 2005 at the University of Pisa under Mihail Mintchev.
CAREER
Postdoctoral researcher at Cornell University from 2008 to 2011, I subsequently held a joint postdoctoral position at the University of Padova (Italy) and at SISSA, under the DaMeSyFla ERC funding.
In 2012 I became the PI and the national coordinator of the research program "A new strong force, the origin of masses, and the LHC" funded by the Italian's "FIRB" grant, ended in 2017.
Since 2013, I am a permanent staff member of the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) of CEA-Saclay and University Paris-Saclay.
I received the HDR from Paris-Saclay in 2022 and I am Directeur de Recherche of CEA since 2023.
I am the head of the particle physics and cosmology group of the IPhT since 2024.
Long term visitor at CERN in the Sept. 2020 - Aug. 2021, at the EPFL in Sept. 2021 - Feb. 2022, and at the KITP and UCSB in Jan.-June 2025.
I have delivered master and PhD-level courses at the EPFL, the ENS, the University of Rome La sapienza, and the University of Padova,
I gave 100+ scientific seminars over the years at several tens of institutions around the world.
