Call for Poster Abstracts: Deadline August 30, 2019

BrainConnects 2019 : Cognitive Enhancement toward Successful Aging

BrainConnects 2019 is calling for abstracts for poster presentations. The submission deadline is Sept. 30, 2019.

Format: Title, Author/s, Affiliation; Text will be in structured abstract with sub-headings Background, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion. Font: Times New Roman size 12. Word limit: 750 words including tables and figures, submit as pdf file size A4, not exceeding 2 pages.

Submission should be made to mcmvaldez@stlukes.com.ph. All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee of BrainConnects 2019, and notification of acceptance will be sent before Oct. 13, 2019. ALL accepted abstracts will need to presented in the poster session. Selected abstracts will be presented on the oral session.

BrainConnects 2019 will be held on Oct. 23 and 24 at the St. Luke's Medical Center - Bonifacio Global in Taguig City, Manila, Philippines. The meeting aims to bring together aging neuroscience, neuropsychology, and cognitive engineering. Our focus is in interdisciplinary approaches to aging research and this year, our theme will be on promoting wellness. We welcome abstracts in the following fields of study: clinical medicine, pharmacy, geriatrics and gerontology, medical engineering, neurology, cognitive / physical intervention, neuro-rehabilitation, psychology, and psychiatry. Related topics are also welcomed.

Instructions for Presenters

1. Oral Presenters

  • You are requested to check your own computer by connecting to the projector in the venue at/or earlier than the break time prior to your talk session. For details, please contact the reception desk.

  • Your presentation time will be approximately 10 minutes plus three minutes of Q&A.

2. Poster Presenters

  • Poster should be up on the boards from 10:00 on Oct 23 until 16:00 on Oct 25, 2019 at an assigned area in the conference venue.

  • You can mount your poster by 16:00 on Oct 22 and removed by 16:00 on Oct 25, 2019. Posters remaining after the closing time will be discarded.

  • The chairperson of poster session will guide the poster tour during the session. Poster presenters are requested to stand by their posters during the poster tour and present their work within 5 minutes. Time of poster tour to be announced.

  • Posters can be viewed throughout the conference.

  • Attendees expect authors to be available and willing to engage in discussion about the work during the conference.

  • The dimensions of the poster boards to hold your poster are 113cm (width) X 163cm (height).

  • Posters will be attached using poster tape which will be available onsite.

Young investigator paper presentation

    • Selected poster presentations by young investigators will be give chance for oral presentation in the morning session on Oct 24th.
