Tang is the President of Providence University and a top researcher in algorithms, computational molecular biology, parallel processing and computer aided engineering. He received Outstanding Research Award in 2000 and 2003 respectively.He has developed tools for multiple sequence alignments and evolutionary trees by using the concept of compact set and the technologies of approximation.
唐傳義是靜宜大學校長和演算法、計算分子生物學、並行處理和計算機輔助工程的傑出研究員。他分別在2000年和2003年獲得國科會傑出研究獎。他利用緊空間和近似算法,開發了多序列比對和進化樹的軟體套件。

Yi-Han Henry Sun is a Distinguished Research Fellow in the Institute of Molecular Biology at Academia Sinica. His lab is focuses on the molecular mechanism controlling the development of the visual system in Drosophila, studying the specification of the eye fate, control of cell proliferation in eye disc, and brain-eye interaction. He served as the Deputy Minister of the National Science Council in Taiwan.
孫以瀚是中央研究院分子生研究的所特聘研究員。他的研究興趣在果蠅視覺系統的發育的分子調控機制,主要研究方向如何決定細胞發育為眼睛,如何控制複眼發育中的細胞增殖及複眼與腦在發育過程中的交互作用。孫博士曾任中華民國行政院國家科學委員會副主任委員。
Gen Sobue (MD, PhD)

Gen Sobue is a distinguished professor of the Department of Neurology, leader of the Brain and Mind Research Center at Nagoya University, and organizer of the Brain Protein Aging and Dementia Control project. He received Toshihiko Tokizane Memorial Award in 2005 and Chunichi Culture Award in 2007. He has been working on elucidation of the pathogenesis and therapy development for neurodegenerative disorders. Especially novel therapy for motor neuron disease is developed to the level of doctor-led clinical trial.
Sobue現任名古屋大學神經內科學系特聘教授及名古屋大學的腦與心智科學研究室和腦蛋白質老化與失智症控制研究組主持人。Gen Sobue於2005年獲日本神經科學學會頒發Toshihiko Tokizane紀念獎,於2007年獲頒中日文化獎。他的主要研究主軸為神經退化疾病之病因以及發展其治療方法。特別是開發運動神經元疾病之新療法,並將其發展至可做臨床測試的階段。

William Shi-Yuan Wang (PhD)

William Shi-Yuan Wang is the Wei Lun Research Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research on language utilises an interdisciplinary perspective, involving engineering, linguistics, and biological sciences. In recent years, Prof. Wang has collaborated with biologists and computer scientists in a common search for the origin of language and patterns in language differentiation. He was the President of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics and is an Academician of the Academia Sinica. The honors he has received also include a Guggenheim Fellowship and two fellowships from the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.
王士元是香港中文大學電子工程學系的偉倫研究教授。他對語言的研究利用跨領域的角度,涉及到工程、語言學和生物科學。近年來,王教授與生物學家和資訊科學家共同合作研究語言的起源和語言模式的分化。他曾擔任國際中國語言學協會的主席並且是中央研究院院士。他過去的榮譽也包括古根漢獎學金及並從史丹佛大學先進行為科學研究中心的兩個研究金。

His awarded patents included Motion Detection Using Multi-resolution Image Processing and Microscopy Imaging Device with Advanced Imaging Properties.

Toshiharu Nakai (PhD)

Toshiharu Nakai, received his PhD degree in bioimaging from the Graduate School of Kyoto University, School of Medicine, Japan in 1992. He is recently attempting to evaluate the early change of brain activity during cognitive training using neuroimaging techniques and initiated this joint project with NTU/NUS. He is a member of International Societies for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine(ISMRM), Organization for Human Brain Mapping(OHBM), International Neuroinformatics Coordination Facility(INCF) and IEEE(BME, CS/senior member). He is also a visiting professor of Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine.

Epifanio Bagarinao (BIO-PHYS, PhD)

Bagarinao is an Associate Professor of real-time fMRI system. He has and attentively engaged in the development and applications of real-time fMRI systems. He also actively involved in the analysis of neuroimaging datasets from different pain-related studies including the use of machine learning algorithms to detect chronic pelvic pain and analysis of resting state fMRI to characterize neuropathic pain. Previously, he worked at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and did research on topics related to real-time fMRI.

Kaoru Sekiyama (PhD)

Kaoru Sekiyama is a professor of cognitive psychology and specializes in experimental psychology and brain imaging (fMRI, PET, EPR, MEG) development. She received the Neuroscience Research Excellent Paper Award in 2004. Her research includes topics of experience-based modification of cognition, development, aging, neuroplasticity, auditory-visual speech perception, adaption to reversed vision, body schema, visuomotor coordination, multisensory perception, face-to-face communication, and reading with presbyopia.

Fan-Pei Gloria Yang (PhD)

Fan-Pei Gloria Yang is an associate professor and the founding director of Center for Cognition and Mind Sciences at the National Tsing Hua University. She integrated diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and fMRI approaches to study patients’ neural connectivity, and expanded her research methods to magnetoencephalography (MEG). Her current research interest is to study the neural basis for metaphor, neural plasticity, interactions of language and other cognitive functions in healthy adults, patients, elderly and bilinguals with multimodal imaging methods.
楊梵孛教授是國立清華大學認知與心智科學中心的創始主任。她使用擴散張量成像(DTI)和功能磁共振成像方法來研究病人的神經連接,並擴大了研究方法到腦磁圖(MEG)。她目前的研究興趣是用以多模式磁振照影來研究比喻的神經基礎、神經可塑性、健康的成年人、病人、老年人的認知功能並它與語言之間的互動。

In particular, he is recently investigating face processing and recognition, functional anatomical connectivity, and cross-cultural imaging of social brain.

He finished General Psychiatry Residency and the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program in Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital and Taichung Veterans General Hospital, respectively. He received the Young investigator travel award of Taiwan Society of Geriatric Psychiatry in 2015. His expertise includes delirium, senile dementia, insomnia, and geriatric nutrition.
朱哲生醫師,從國防醫學院醫學系畢業。他分別為高雄榮民總醫院和台中榮民總醫院,精神科住院醫師和老年精神病學特殊訓練員。曾獲得2015年台灣老人精神醫學會年輕研究學者獎,專長包括急性認知失調(delirium),老年癡呆(senile dementia),失眠(insomnia)和老年營養(geriatric nutrition)。
