On January 23, Troop 457 hosted their first Merit Badge College at Saint Benedict High School. We had many classes such as personal management, citizenship in the world, citizenship in the nation, and many more. The First Merit Badge College was a Success thanks to Mrs. Mothersell, Mrs. Cathy Park, Mrs. Schneider, Mrs. Schully, and Life Scout Louis DeGruy. Nearly all of the Scout Families participated in some way.

January 24, we went to Pho-Da Buddhist temple to learn about Buddhism. We learned how to meditate and got to ask questions to a Buddhist priest. Also a thank you to Mr. Prudhomme who made it possible for us to go.

On Feb.13, we visited Raccoon Mountain to explore a cave. We first took a small merit badge class then we went in the cave. We had a lot of struggles, but we finally made it safely. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
