Loco Ropes

Campout

loco Ropes was a fantastic camp out that was not only fun but also very educational for our young scouts. Not only did they get to experience the cope course but also learn a valuable lesson of team work and facing your fears. Some of the our scouts were very scared at first but the other scouts came in to inspire them and push them onward and through that all our scouts made it through all the courses and also had lots of fun.

Troop 457 In the News

The troop was represented at the April 8 Lakeland School Board meeting. Dr. Horrell recognized five Boy Scouts from Troop 457 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Cordova. “There are many public meetings you could attend and we are glad you chose us.”

About Troop 457

Troop 457 was founded in 1992. We strive to give our scouts the opportunities to reach their highest goals in scouting. Our troop does this by giving guidance and then letting the boys lead. We are a “boy led” troop. Our scouts learn skills by doing; they become leaders by leading others.

Weekly meetings are held on Mondays in the cafeteria of St. Francis School at 6:45pm. For information, please contact the Chartered Organizational Representative, Jeff Vandewinckel at (901) 355-7410 or vandewinckel@yahoo.com or Scoutmaster Harold Urban at (901)-230-8105 or scouts411@gmail.com.
