North Caicos Island is a quiet, rural get-away location. Beaches are not crowded, you may see a few other people but it's just as likely that you'll have the beach completely to yourself. You can walk the trails and bird watch, head out to one of many historic sites or take a swim or snorkel at your leisure. If you’re ready to relax, be adventurous, and take charge of your own experience, North Caicos is a great destination for you.
If all-inclusive accommodations, packaged experiences, spas, luxury shopping and pampering are what you’re looking for, you are likely to be happier staying on Provo instead, and taking a day trip to North and Middle Caicos. Better yet, consider spending a few days on Provo to do the things you can only do there, and then a few days on North Caicos to unwind.
We're ready to help you arrange getting to North Caicos Island.
When you’re on the way to North Caicos, you will fly into Provo (Providenciales; airport code PLS). There are easy non-stop flights from all over. The Provo airport is small and low-key. Be sure to book your flight times with a couple of hours to spare (or more, on weekends) so that you have time to catch the last ferry to North Caicos. Otherwise you may need to stay on Provo overnight and come to North Caicos in the morning.
By ferry: Once you’re finished at the airport, just step outside the door and catch a shared taxi to Leeward Marina. If you wish, we will be happy to arrange for a taxi to be waiting for your there. The ferry (actually a water bus) is about a 30 minute trip along the beautiful cays to Bellfield Landing on North Caicos.
By plane: Caicos Express now has flights from the Provo airport to North Caicos. Be sure to book these flights in advance - their schedule is subject to change and they don't fly every day. Upon arrival at Provo, just walk over from arrivals to departures, their gate is just to the right of Gilly's Restaurant. The flights is less than 15 minutes, and lands at the small airport in Major Hill on North Caicos.
If you are renting a car while you’re here, you will pick up the car at the marina or airport. We will provide directions for the easy drive down the main road. If you aren’t renting a car, or not renting one upon your arrival, we can arrange a taxi to pick you up and bring you to the lodge.
