2024 Welsh Photo Challenge

The Western Section Welsh Photographic Challenge will enter its 7th year in 2024.

This non-competitive and free event is organised for all BWM Club members, with the simple objective of giving you an excuse to ride your bike around some of the lesser known parts of Wales and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We select 20 new locations each year, spread across the whole of Wales. You have from 1st January until the 30th of November to visit as many or as few as you like.  But be warned, it seems to be addictive!

In recent years, the organisers have added a bonus point located in England but close to the Welsh border.

You can enjoy the challenge on your own or as a group and all locations can be reached by tarmac roads.

The locations we select vary considerably from pubs, cafes and churches to dams, gates, bridges, museums, memorials and, on several occasions, cattle grids!

When you visit a location, you take a picture of your bike(s) in front of the subject and send it by e mail to the organisers, who then upload it onto a dedicated Flickr site.
