Jazz Ensemble

Are you interested in joining the BMS Jazz Ensemble?

Please come and try it!

The Jazz Ensemble meets daily during “Zero Period” from 7:00-7:40 A.M. in the band room.  Students interested in the Jazz Ensemble must be in 7th or 8th grade and must audition.  However, the first couple of weeks are a learning period to introduce you to the jazz style (See the schedule below). 

Beginning of the year Schedule:

·         August 25-27 (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday): Rhythm Section ONLY (Percussion, Piano, Bass, and Guitar)

·         August 28-29 (Thursday and Friday): First rehearsals for ALL interested students.

·         September 2-5 (Tuesday through Friday): First rehearsals for ALL interested students continue.

·         September 8 (Monday): Final rehearsal before auditions for ALL interested students.

·         September 9-12 (Tuesday through Friday): AUDITIONS—Sign-up for a time slot (You only need to come for your time).

·         September 15-19 (Monday through Friday): AUDITIONS continue—Sign-up for a time slot (You only need to come for your time).

·         September 22-26 (Monday through Friday): AUDITIONS continue if needed—Sign-up for a time slot (You only need to come for your time).
