BLS was founded by Aaron Moore, '14 CLAS as Phi Beta Lambda at Villanova University in 2010. Phi Beta Lambda operated and competed nationally as the Villanova chapter of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda for several years, then became the Business and Leadership Society when it disaffiliated with FBLA in 2016. The Business & Leadership Society from 2016-2019 served as an interdisciplinary business society where business students could explore a variety of different majors and career paths. In 2019, the Business & Leadership Society got an entire new leadership team and was rebranded into a social club for business students.
BLS hosts on- and off-campus social events for members and professional development opportunities. We also recruit students from every undergraduate academic college and foster mentoring relationships within the society. We believe that soft skills are among the most important to have in business, and BLS is filling a void within Villanova for a club that strengthens these soft skills. Our ultimate goal is to empower our members as leaders at Villanova and beyond.
