Mission and objectives

Mission

To establish a centre of exhibition, education and publication to honour and promote the legacy of Bildad M. Kaggia and other Freedom Fighters in the courageous struggle of the Kenyan people for Independence, Democracy and Social Justice.

Objectives

    • To establish a museum to display photographs and artefacts of the struggle for independence, democracy and social justice.

    • To establish a scholarship fund for young men and women who excel in their primary school examinations who cannot afford to continue their education.

    • To establish an Annual Award to individuals and organizations that exemplify the ideas and values that Bildad M. Kaggia championed.

    • To establish a Publishing House - to publish the writings of Bildad M. Kaggia as well as other writings on the struggle for independence, democracy and social justice.

In order to achieve this various activities are carried out:

    • Annually a half marathon is organized at Gitura Village in Murang’a County.

    • Tree planting at Primary and Secondary Schools.

    • Providing needy schoolchildren with uniforms.

    • Providing sanitary towels for the girl schoolchild.

    • Inter-schools exam competition.

    • Feeding of street people
