About Betty

Betty grew up in Billings, MT and learned about gardening from her parents and several aunts. She has an education degree from the University of Montana and served twenty years as a Colorado Master Gardener volunteer.  

She enjoys teaching about general landscape care, along with vegetable and herb gardening. She is known in her circle of friends as the basil and garlic queen!

Betty taught gardening classes at Denver Botanic Gardens and the surrounding area for twenty plus years.  She's presented gardening programs to garden clubs, libraries, garden centers and businesses.  Betty is also a garden blogger and freelance writer.  She has written the popular "Punch List" and other feature garden articles for The Denver Post since 2012.  

Betty live in SW Idaho.
