Disease - Pest or Beneficial Insect Classes:

Home Landscape Management for Pests, Diseases and the Environment

What's wrong? Things happen (good and not so good) to plants in the summer outdoor garden. Managing Japanese Beetle in Landscapes

Japanese beetles have been causing plant damage in many states since 1916 when they first arrived on the East coast of the United States.  Betty will cover how to best control both adult Japanese beetles and their grub offspring (next season’s adult beetles).  She will show you management options that include simple, no or low cost covering techniques and proven spray and lawn products that work with respect to our beloved pollinators. Betty will also talk about the beneficial bio-control releases along the Front Range which have been proven in other parts of the country to reduce Japanese beetle feeding.  When using correct practices and management options, this voracious plant pest will not ruin your summer and outdoor gardening experiences.
