Flags for First Graders

Flags for First Graders is a program that teaches patriotism and history of the American Flag. The Bullhead City Lions Club arranges to meet with the first grade classes at the following schools:

• Bennett Elementary in Laughlin, NV

• Camp Mohave Elementary School in Fort Mohave, AZ

• Desert Star Academy in Mohave Valley, AZ

• Desert Valley School in Bullhead City, AZ

• Diamondback Elementary School in Bullhead City, AZ

• Fort Mohave Elementary School in Fort Mohave, AZ

• Mohave Accelerated Learning Center in Bullhead City, AZ

• Young Scholars Academy in Fort Mohave, AZ

During the presentation, students in first grade learn about the history of the American Flag and each of student receives an American Flag of their own to keep. The Bullhead City Lions Club usually does these presentations in September to coincide with the local curriculum time frame.
