At our 50+1 class reunion in 2022, it was noted by several class mates that we would all be celebrating our 71st birthday in 2024 (class of '71, 71st birthday) and we should have a party like we did for our 60th birthday. Our class loves to party and this would give us a reason to get together. One of those who suggested a party was Trent Dalrymple. So I asked Trent if he and his wife Ellen Pankratz-White (also a Class of '71 classmate) could co-chair the event. They said yes! They picked a cool restaurant to have the party, the Fork n' Pint in Waterford Township. The buffet was excellent. I gave a short speech, mostly thanking Trent and Ellen for hosting the event. Many trips down Memory Lane! We even had birthday cake! In the bar area, we had live music provided by Class of '70 musicians Gary Griffin and Tom Lee and Rick. Yardley, Groves Class of '71. A birthday party would not be complete without birthday presents so I passed out 1971 John F. Kennedy half dollar coins that I had saved up. The evening was a success and a good time was had by all. Thank you to those who attended!
