Education:

Graduated in 2017 from the CNGO in Tilburg for the 4 year HBO Bocam professional traning as a therapist in de Chinese medicine.

Graduated in 2016 from the CNGO in Tilburg for the 1 year Specialization course Medical Qigong.

Graduated in 1994 from the dance academy in Tilburg for the 4 year HBO teacher dance education dance expression en world dance. 

Graduated  in 1984 for the 3 year course Psychiatry B-nursing at the RPI in Eindhoven.

Graduated in 1980 at Lindendael Nursing Home in Hoorn for the 2 year training in sick care.

Graduated in 1975 at the PTT in Alkmaar for the 1 year office training.

Vision:

Before I started my dance career, I completed the B-nursing course and I wordked in psychiatry and before that the sick care course and I wordked in a nursing home. Befor that, I had compledeted an administrative training at the PTT, where I also had a job at the time. I had then found out that my interest was in people I wanted to work with and not numbers. In psychiatry I learned a lot about the motives of people, but everything was approached from the ration. 

In dance I learned to listen to my body. Fist of all, by releasing tensions, which were fixed as muscle tension in my body. And this only with dance exercises, which were pleasant to do. If something is fun to do, it takes no effort and it gave me so much more. Dance gave me joie de vivre, a good condition and a better figure. The means became the end and I wanted to go to the dance academy. With the dance expression lessons I learned to find myself through dance. I found my souce, power and my motivations. I found solutions to problems with which I struggled. I learned to trust my body, which is more honest than my ability to think. And after that, the artistic expression of any theme became my elixir of life.   

I also discovered that dance is also cultural. we have always danced, the dance was even there for the word. It was certainly worthwhile to immerse myself in the variety of expressions of the different times and peoples. When you put yourself in the shoes of another culture, you are less prejudiced. In addition, cultuaral dance also has its function and was used for various ceremonies and purposes. Besides the fact that it is just very cozy and gives a sense of togerherness, it sometimes also has a mystical purpose. 

It's fun to create beautiful dances together, to duplicate and to work towards perfection and to do it as well as possible. To put something of yourself into it, through appearance and feeling. Furthermore, it is a physical pleasure to go to the basics of all kinds of movements with the exact timing and use of force, which can also vary. But in addition to this work attitude, dancing is sometimes purely relaxing. We already have to do so much in this society, many people live under too much pressure and need an outlet. Dance is great way to do this: A moment for yourself and forget your worries.

In addition, the artistic expression of dancing together is extremely important for children in a world where knowledge comes first and where there is less and less physical space to develop the body. There are more and more toddlers who cannot skip, to give just one example. The development of the body affects the development of the mind into a person who learns to stand freely in the worrld and learns to make his own choices. By developing the body, you make connections in the brain, so that you will use them better. So as you develop your motor skills, you develop your intelligence at the same time.

The dance is an excellent way to express what is stored in you in terms of emotions and life experience. But the need can also be the other way around. That you already give a lot of yourself in a daily life and that you want to go inside and stay there. That you want to look for your original self, for you strength, without wanting to express it. This need arose for me after many years of giving dance lessons and I needed a counterbalance. I then started with Tai chi and Qigong and found an inner peace with the flow of energy in the meridians, through the slowmotion meditative movement. I also want to pass this on  and for that I started the Bocam training at CNGO in Tilburg. I have been teaching Qigong - Tai chi for quite some time now and discover that others find peace and flow in the body with me. Today's world offers a lot of stimuli at a high pace and although we like all that action, in the long run it can cause stress and this stress may become a disease. Back in place because the sick body cannot go on, we find peace and healing in the practice of Qigong and Tai chi. It ensures that we remain flexible in a rapidly changing world and stay close to ourselves. In addition to other options such as acupressure, magnets, moxa, massage, meditaion, nutrition and herbs.

1984 - 1990: In these years I have done many dance and performances, including at Stichting de Sprong in Eindhoven, at the production "De Schmürz by Gerard van Elschot in Eindhoven, dance fashion shows for the fashion academy in Eindhoven, own solo production at the Avignon festival with musical accompaniment by Paul van de Boomen and at Mime theater Cor van Geffen in Den Bosch.

1984 – 1994: Every day I took courses in the field of dance (jazz, modern, classical, experience lessons) drama (mime and drama) and music (percussion and singing).

1987 - 1992: Foundation de Sprong in Eindhoven. Function: Board member, taking care of the accounting and tasks in the P.R., all this on a voluntary basis.

1988 - 1994: Dance teachers training dance expression and folklore at the Dansacademie (HBO) in Tilburg with diploma.  

1990 – 1994: In addition to the compulsory internships for the dance training, I taught at: private dance school Janis Sutton in Eindhoven (toddler dance and children's dance); Community center the old Town Hall in Eindhoven (Jazz adults) and Dynamo in Eindhoven (dance expression). I also took care of individual projects, such as school projects and substitute lessons. And I danced in various performances, including at the Sprong foundation.       

1994 - heden: I continue to educate myself by taking lessons in the styles of world dance, dance expression, modern, jazz and Qigong according to the relevance of what I am teaching at that time.    

1994 – 1996: Folkdance foundation Vodag in Panningen. Function: Folk dance teacher international dance in an advanced weekly adult group.

1996 - 2002: Dynamo / Aquamarijn te Eindhoven. Function: Dance teacher dance expression / own groups / adults.

1996 - 2019: Folk dance foundation  Maroesjka in Heeze. Function: Dance teacher, choreographer, coordinator en organizer demonstration groupe Dutch dance. In recent years, in addition to the many performances in the Netherlands, the dance group has also performed in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium and Luxembourg. From the 2012 - 2013 season, the group is a recreational dance group and provides costume performances from around 1900 for a number of years.  

1996 - 1998: Folk dance foundation  Maroesjka in Heeze. Function: Dance teacher for toddlers weekly and occasionaly dance for children and for teenagers in the style international Folkdance and Dance expression.

1996 – 2012: Organizing school projects, in wchich I give dance lessons together with colleagues with a performance at the end of the days(s).

2002 – 2013: Foundation Keurmousse in Eindhoven. Function: I was taking care of the accounting and tasks in the P.R., all this on a voluntary basis. Till 2006 I was also treasurer.

August 2003: The booklet 'Voetje voor voetje' is published with a number of Dutch folk dances of mine, which I introduced at the 'Doe Dance festival' in Vierhouten.
