The centre piece of the whole concept was a four storey spiral staircase from the pool and games area up through the floors containing living accommodation to the sleeping and guest apartments.

Unique formers, jigs and templates were invented and used to facilitate the manufacture of the spiral handrails, cappings and trim to both the inner and outer handrails and strings.
