Every junior researcher living or working in the Berlin area, and interested in and committed to development economics, can join the DENeB organizing committee. Current and past members include master’s students, pre-docs, PhDs, and junior post-docs. We know that junior is highly subjective. So, we decided to set “getting conference keynote requests” as a rule of thumb for no longer being considered as junior. Being an organizing member does not involve any monetary costs.
As a member of the organizing committee, you …
participate in monthly meetings (virtual and in person) with other members to exchange and plan future activities.
have access to our internal platform for exchanging research ideas, discussing implementation, and addressing any questions.
can participate in internal, in-person workshops to discuss preliminary work in a supportive and friendly environment.
can participate in monthly writing sessions.
can disseminate and promote your own research through our social media channels and on our website.
will be listed on the DENeB website.
Get Engaged: If you want to engage in our activities, you are cordially invited to attend one of our monthly internal meetings and/or get in touch with us at deneb@diw.de.
