These maps are currently displaying just the data held in MapMate up to 2014. Data from iRecord has still to be incorporated.
Using the maps
To see the key to the map, click on the menu button at the top left of the maps:
To open the map into its own window and see it at larger size, click on the maximise button at the top right:
Once you have maximised the map it is easier to zoom in to see details, change the background to an aerial photo, etc., using the normal Google maps controls.
The first map shows how well we have done in getting records from across the county:
The second map is the inverse, or 'negative' of the above - it shows all the squares for which we have no moth records! But don't panic - moth recording is labour-intensive work and we don't expect or need to have records from every square!:
