The Bergen County Chapter of the American Recorder Society formed in 1967 as a group of adult recorder enthusiasts from the tri-state area. We meet in Leonia, NJ, which is just a short distance from the George Washington Bridge or the Palisades Interstate Parkway. We have nationally-known teachers lead our meetings and workshops and welcome recorder enthusiasts of any playing level to join us as a guest or member.
Players of all levels join together in one class for the monthly in-person meetings. Members receive music as PDFs via email with enough advance time for practicing one or more of the lines. The music is also available for download by following the link at the bottom of the home page.
We always welcome new members! Visit the Membership page for information.
Additional links in the website menu provide monthly meeting teacher and music information, directions to our meeting location, workshop information, and upcoming concerts, events, and resources of interest.
