About Us

Berala United Physical Culture Club is a small, family run club that has been teaching local girls the joy of physical culture since the 1950's. The club was initially called the Lidcombe-Berala Presbyterian Club before becoming affiliated with the Berala Uniting Church. The club remained connected to the church until 2011 when our classes had to move venues, prompting a name change to Berala United.

Berala has been a very prestigious and successful club over the years with many representatives competing at both the junior and senior national finals and places gained at the annual team competitions. The club is currently under the direction of teachers Nicole Baker, Rebecca White and Brooke Lampier. Previous teachers of Berala include Doreen Smith, Shirley Middleton, Pam Purdon, Gayle Garrett, and Camila Lourenco Lopes.
