Dr. Wang's research has transformed ubiquitous Wi-Fi infrastructure into a powerful sensing platform capable of detecting human presence, motion, fall, breathing, and sleep patterns—without cameras or wearables. Building on the physical principles of multipath propagation and channel state information (CSI) analysis, her team developed algorithms and systems that turn standard Wi-Fi signals into hundreds of virtual sensors, enabling smart applications in healthcare, safety, and home automation.
