Getting on a Functional Skills English & Maths Course

BEGIN offers advice about Functional Skills English and Maths courses - also known as 'Literacy and Numeracy' - including classes at:

• Nottingham College classes in the community, eg, in Bestwood, Bulwell

  • Classes at other Learning Centres and in the community, eg, CT Skills

  • Places and times to suit you - with Read Easy volunteers

  • Ask for a paper Enquiry Form and send it to BEGIN.

Please give as much information as you can so we can try to find the best class at the right time and place for you. 

BEGIN will keep your information in confidence. We will send you an appointment when there is a class for you. You may need to wait because classes are full, because of holidays.  So - remember to tell BEGIN if any of your details change, eg, your address or telephone number, the times you work, the times of your childcare arrangements, or if you are going away. Please also tell BEGIN if you do not need English or Maths classes anymore.
